Cactus Computer, Inc.

Cactus Computer, a network product and systems integration firm since 1988 located in Carrollton, Texas, primarily serves municipal and enterprise clients. Cactus Computer specializes in network design and implementation for long term reliability and growth. As a service to its clients, Cactus Computer provides Consulting and Systems Integration.  Cactus Computer also assists in developing Strategic Technology Plans, and Client Technical-Representative Services.

W. N Smith "Jake" - Owner/Manager

Mr. Smith has over 40 years of direct technical design, development, manufacture, marketing, and support of electronic and computer based products and systems.  Prior to founding Cactus Computer, Mr. Smith founded Agile Systems, Inc. in 1983 for the design, development, and manufacture of data communications products.  Mr. Smith sold his interest in Agile Systems, Inc. in 1988.

Mr. Smith has been awarded four US Patents, one in RF data modem design, one in data network physical interoperability, and two in rehabilitation engineering.  Mr. Smith graduated in 1972 with a BA-Management Engineering from Claremont McKenna College and a BS-Electrical Engineering with Honors from Stanford University.
